Instructions

Battery Replacement Instructions:

When the indicator light flashes on your pets receiver collar it is time to order a replacement battery. (Another test of the battery would be to bring the receiver collar next to the outdoor wiring and listen for the receiver collar's beep tone. If there is no beep tone you probably need a battery.) Remove the metal battery cover by inserting a screw driver into the slot and  then turn counter clockwise.  THE NEW BATTERY IS TO BE INSERTED WITH THE (-) NEGATIVE END FACING IN TOWARDS THE SMALL SPRING. Before closing the battery cover, make sure the black rubber "o-ring" is intact on the battery cover and is not damaged. The cover is then screwed back on clockwise. (The cover will then be touching the (+) positive end of the battery.) You may need to apply slight pressure inwards while turning the cover so the threads will align and "catch".

Collar Replacement Instructions:

When replacing a worn or damaged nylon collar note how the original collar was installed. To replace the collar, carefully turn each contact post counter-clockwise until it is separated from the pet fence receiver. You may carefully use a hand tool to help unscrew the contact post. Save the two white plastic washers. Discard the old nylon collar. Close the clasp of the new nylon collar. From the inside of the circle formed by the closed collar, insert the two washers through the pre-punched holes. Make sure the washers completely seat themselves. Then place the assembly on the pet fence receiver, making sure the washers are on as far as they can go and are practically flush and level with the raised bosses on the pet fence receiver. Insert the contact post and tighten clockwise very carefully as to make a snug connection but not to over tighten. Use fingers to tighten the posts. You need to make sure the contact posts are not so loose as to unscrew on their own during daily receiver collar usage. WARNING: USING A HAND TOOL TO TIGHTEN THE CONTACT POST MAY ALLOW ENOUGH STRAIN AS TO CAUSE THE PLASTIC RAISED RECEIVER BOSS TO BE BROKEN. BE CAREFUL!
